Stilleben, 2010
Two actors, walking approximately 100 meters apart from one another, stop at irregular intervals as if struck by something (something they see, something they think or remember, something they feel). The actors were instructed to perform as many different forms of this familiar reaction as they can, varying the degree and intensity of their arrest (from stopping suddenly to softly, distractedly coming to a standstill), as well as the length of time that they stood in place. Different itineraries were chosen through the city of Frankfurt and the piece was performed every day, for an hour, for a period of four days.
